Pascal Édouard Crépin

Naturalist guide

Pascal Édouard Crépin, founder of Bushmasters Ecotours, certified naturalist guide, established in Mato Grosso since 1997, Pantanal specialist for more than 20 years, pioneer in the organization of trips to observe the Jaguar and the Harpy Eagle. Passionate about wildlife, particularly reptiles and raptors, and adventurer by nature, looking for new observation sites and always pushing the limits of the unknown as far as possible. Of course, the Pantanal is immensely large and very difficult to discover, but to this day, all of my explorations have led me to get to know this vast sanctuary more and more.

Fabrícia Campello

Biologist and Naturalist guide

Since my childhood, I was very influenced by my parents who are artists. The fact of having always lived close to nature, all my drayings and paintings most often represent what is really most beautiful to see, to contemplate, to admire...

I have been living in the city of Chapada dos Guimarães, in the state of Mato Grosso, for 22 years now, not very far from Pantanal and Nobres. My attraction to flora and fauna in general and mainly for that of my region made me interested in the profession of being a guide and later engage in biology studies. I have been working as a naturalist guide since then and I was also able to train in biology. Ornithology has become my great passion.

I am extremely motivated to assist travelers from all over the world discover the treasures from our region, share my experiences and knowledge with them  and allow them to appreciate the richness of our environment.

Naturalist guide

in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, I originally studied accounting, worked in retail, gold mining, and then notably as an English teacher, giving classes in different language schools and for individuals. In 2009, my professional life took another direction, hired this time to guide accompanying tours in the Pantanal, mainly  in the region of the “Encontro das Águas” State Park, located upstream from Porto Jofre. One of my most striking experiences was to guide BBC TV team for several weeks, coming to film the giant otters in the frame of a documentary entitled “Wild Brazil”, released to the public in january 2014, awarded in the UK in the same period. In addition to the English I speak fluently, I was also interested in learning french, that I like to practice whenever I guide French customers. All the years spent in the Pantanal and my successive missions in other biomes in Brazil have contributed a lot for my professional fulfillment and to make me a worthy representative of nature turism.

Naturalist guide

Born in São Paulo, in 1990 I moved to Chapada dos Guimarães, Mato Grosso, living in the Jamaca Valley, a beautiful forest in the outskirts of Chapada dos Guimarães, which I loved since the first sight. Guiding professionally,

I specialized in trekking, creating new itineraries and deepening my knowledge of history, geology and archeology of the area. In 2000, I started my work in the Pantanal, which I became truly passionate about. That's when I also increased my interest and practice about birdwatching. Spending most of the dry season guiding in the Pantanal, I decided to become a naturalist, studying related subjects to increase my knowledge, which I do constantly until today. Therefore, I consider myself a generalist, although I have specialties, as native flora, mammals, birds, etc...
Although I do very little photography, I work extensively with photographers mostly foreigners, some very demanding. I speak English and French. I did an internship in the Amazon, greatly enjoying this biome, where I still travel with a certain frequency, but my best experience and knowledge is in Cerrado and Pantanal, which I get to know more and better every day.
